The Rose Bowl can expect large crowds of travelling Surrey supporters for the match with Hampshire next week after Mark Ramprakash notched up his 99th first-class hundred on Saturday. His second hundred of the season was a rare highlight in a rain-affected drawn game against Sussex at Hove and his last 40 runs came at a run a ball before he chipped a return catch to Ollie Rayner for 123.

Nottinghamshire's England bowlers enjoyed the final day against Yorkshire at Headingley Carnegie. Ryan Sidebottom took three wickets and Graeme Swann and Stuart Broad two apiece, Swann bowling Michael Vaughan for 34. Broad had earlier hit 53 as Nottinghamshire built a healthy first-innings lead, but Yorkshire clung on for the draw. By the close they were 187 for eight, 64 runs ahead.

Nicky Boje made the season's highest score so far, 226 not out, for Northamptonshire against Worcestershire. Lance Klusener made 74 and Johann Louw an unbeaten 67 in another drawn match.
