My sister had a heart attack in October 2007, her husband had a severe stroke 6 weeks ago. She mentioned concerns to the nurse (as and when her husband is well again?) as to how much her travel insurance would increase. Nurse replied "you don't need alot of expensive insurance so long as you have the E111, you're covered." Is this correct?

hi just received paperwork to update boots travel insurance, yearly cover world wide for a couple, phoned up to renerw, my husband who has recently been started on simvastatin will not be covered unber boots, as he is also on medication for his b.p. just to make people aware that if you are on a statin you may not get travel insurance, he answered no to all appropriate questions, such as he has not been in hospital, he is not waiting to see a consultant and he is not awaiting any results, he works full time as a paramedic and as result of a blood test and started on a statin by a specialist nurse cannot get cover from boots, we have been with them 10 years
