Why it’s special: tailored so that flustered parents have the occasional break. Children’s activities in the daytime and a Disney film in the evening, so the two of you can enjoy an uninterrupted dinner. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

Hitting the sack: sixty-four bedrooms, more homely than designer-style. Super-soft mattresses ensure swift journeys to slumberland.

Sampling the fare: five-course spreads incorporating the likes of lemon sole in chilli coconut batter, or roast lamb with minted couscous.
